Fontstruct from fontshop is an online font builder, we’ve been playing around with it a little, and it’s amazing how creative you can be from a limited number of marks. It’s only 21 days old and by the size of the gallery there seams to be quite a few people who share our enjoyment of it. So go check it out and see if you can design the next helvetica, modularly speaking.

The photography of Arthur Mole (1889-1983) seams to have been skipped by most of mainstream art & design but double takes found it. His works involved assembling thousands of WW1 troops to depict famous images of the time. Amazing considering the technology available to him.
These home made cameras, the Corbis ReadyCam, look amazing and the results are surprisingly good, if not a little early 80′s in colour & style. But non the less they are a great treat away from the trappings of digital. They even make lomo look like high tech gadgets of the future. And there basicly free to make (for those of you who have a printer, scapel, paper, glue, patience, and a spare 35mm film lying around.) And now the summers here the light to take decent shots is finally here.

Well not quite yet, but maybe, were celebrating our nomination for a webby. Our site for the cake-factory has been nominated in the professional services category.
